American Linden

Tilia Americana
This is the native linden of New Brunswick with large, dark-green, heart-shaped leaves and June flowers that are also highly fragrant. All linden species are great trees to plant where bees, butterflies and hummingbirds are welcome. Bees especially, will be attracted to the blooming flowers in droves. Male and female flowers appear on the same tree.
